How to create images for clock applications?
This page describes the steps about making images for clock applications(this page is for beginners and persons who are not programmers).
If you don't even have skills of image retouching, you can make images for the application from your images via following the steps below.
Let's try to create your original clock application by DOROKURI.
Use to fit a child and a pet picture to the size of the frame.
Use to move picture to best position.
Use to erase pictures that strays out of frame.
After retouch finished, save the picture in the format that DOROKURI supports.
make it 72*72 pixels.
To edit your picture, please install'GIMP2'(free).
Download your favorite frame image(.psd) from links on bottom of this page.
Prepare the image files (ex. your children, pet and etc.).
After GIMP2 is installed, the shortcut icon of GIMP2 placed on your desktop.
Double click the icon and GIMP2 will be launched and show the screen below.
Select menu item 'File'-'Open...' and choose .psd file.
After the file opened, GIMP2 shows the screen like lower right.
1. Select layer window and click the line 'dog sample'.
2. Select menu item 'File'-'Open as layer' and choose image file you would like to use as a dial plate.
After the file opened, GIMP2 shows the screen like lower right.
The size of dial plate doesn't fit frame now, so some editing is required to fit them.
Use to adjust the size of images to fit the frame.
Use to move images to best place when the images was moved by scaling.
Use to erase pictures that strays out of frame.
Select menu item 'File'-'Scaling' and resize the image to 72*72 pixels.
Make image size to fit canvas size (Please refer to Editing Image).
Please use these images for the base of your own images. Please down load them via right click. (These images don't have any license problems)
